This apple crisp recipe is very quick to make. It smells delicious when it is baking and is the very tastiest when slightly warm.
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/3 cup butter, at room temperature
Vanilla ice cream
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Grease an 8 or 9 inch round baking dish with butter.
Peel, core and chop the apples into bite size pieces.
Place the prepared apples into the baking dish.
In a mixing bowl combine the dry ingredients and stir to mix them together.
Add the butter and using a pastry cutter combine in the best you can to make a crumbly texture. You can also use your fingertips to do this.
Spread the crumble mixture over apples and bake for 35 minutes.
Best served warm.
Delicious with ice cream, whipped cream and sprinkles with a little cinnamon.
